Ann C. Cassell May 18, 1941 - May 11, 2014 Ann C. Cassell of Woodway passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014. Her Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 14, at Woodway First United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Dirk and Dawn Gilliland, Diaconal Minister, officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 13, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Ann was born May 18, 1941, in Charleston, West Virginia, to William and Ellen Chrisman. She graduated from Charleston High School and received a bachelor's degree from Radford University. Ann taught elementary school for 30 years and retired from Midway ISD in 2006, having received the district's Teacher of the Year Award. She had a servant's heart and loved her church and her family dearly, and volunteered for Meals on Wheels and various other ministries. Ann was a very active member of Woodway First United Methodist Church, a longtime member of the Pathfinders Sunday School Class and loved her Journey Group. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Michael N. Cassell of Woodway; daughters, Ellen Bryant and husband, Graham, of Dallas; Elizabeth Bandy and husband, David, of Temple, Texas; and son, Michael S. Cassell and wife, Carrie, of Dallas; seven grandchildren, Maddie, Catherine, Logan, Cullen, Mason, Garrison and Landon; and brother, William Ralsten Chrisman of Rocky Mount, Virginia.
