FAREK, ANN Ann Farek, age 100, of Waco passed away Monday, May 7, 2001 at her home. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 9th at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Jim Johnson officiating. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-7:00 PM Tuesday, May 8th at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Ann was born October 5, 1900 in Elk, Texas to Joseph and Albina Farek. She taught school 48 years, retiring from Texas A & I University. She was a WWII veteran, being in the first class of WAVES. She was discharged from the Navy as Lt. Commander. Miss Farek was an avid bridge player. She moved to Waco in 1984 to be close to relatives. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Waco. Her parents, one sister and five brothers preceded her in death. Survivors include: Nieces: Billie Chaneyworth, Marcelias Marcie Klein, both of Waco Martha Nash of Universal City Nephews: Eldon Farek of Rockwall Don Farek of Killeen Pat Farek of Axtell Marvin Farek of Corpus Christi Memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
