Anna Ruth Taylor September 29, 1916 - September 22, 2006 Anna Ruth Taylor of Waco passed away Friday, September 22, 2006 at a local nursing home. Services will be Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey with the Rev. Rebecca N. Hull officiating. Entombment will follow at Waco Memorial Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Anna was born September 29, 1916 in Denison, TX, to Charles Melvin Williams and Gella Florence Wood. She attended school and graduated high school in Denison and graduated from the University of Colorado. She did graduate work at the University of Washington. She was a member of the U.S. Army Nurses Corps. in WWII in the Pacific Theater serving on Guam, and obtained the rank of Captain. She worked most of her life at the V.A. Medical Center in Waco as an instructor in charge of nursing instruction and taught students from Scott & White Psychiatric Care. She was a member of Austin Avenue United Methodist Church. She is survived by: her husband of 53 years, Frank W. Taylor; two nieces, Sandra Castleberry, and Jean Zazanis and two nephews: Charles D. Williams and Fred E. Williams.
