Anna Schreiber

July 25, 1910 — August 18, 2004

SCHREIBER, ANNA Anna Schreiber, 94 of Lorena, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at a local nursing facility. Services will be held at 1pm Friday, August 20 at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Walter Chelmo officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8pm Thursday, August 19 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Mrs. Schreiber was born July 25, 1910 in Perry, Texas to Paul and Emma Sielaff Fenske. She was educated in Riesel, Texas. She worked for Dr. Block and then Jones Fine Bread, which later became Mrs. Baird’s Bread. She married Lorenz L. Schreiber in 1935. She became a seamstress supervisor for Crout’s Tailor, which later became Rainbow, then Fab-Knit. She was a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was very active in the Braille Ministry. She was very kind hearted and lived what she spoke. Her whole life was her grandchildren and great granddaughters. Mrs. Schreiber was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters, Lena Vorderkunz, Theresa Behringer, Agnes Lippe, Ruth Mycock, and brother, Ted Fenske. Survivors include daughter, Marian Ann Kunze and husband, Robert E.; grandchildren, Greg Kunze and wife, Sheryl, Jeff Kunze and wife, Amy, and Valerie Howard and husband, Barry; great grandchildren, Whitney, Lindsey, Macy Kunze and Kristen Hill; sister, Edna Wiethorn and husband, Dan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Robert Wolf, James Vorderkunz, Paul Kunze, Edward Mycock, Jr., Emil Lippe, Jr., Joe Scroggins, Scott Pierce, and Bobby Schreiber. Honorary pallbearer is Victor Montgomery. The family would like to send a special thank you to St. Catherine’s Staff. Memorials may be made to Providence Park St. Catherine Center or The Alzheimer’s Association.
