Anne Guillebeau Carter September 24, 1930 - December 2, 2008 Anne Guillebeau Carter of Waco passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at Wesley Woods Alzheimer's Care Center. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 6, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 5, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Anne was born September 24, 1930 in Atlanta, Georgia to Robert and Mary Guillebeau. She married her childhood sweetheart, Ed Carter, on April 17, 1949. She received her Bachelors degree from Georgia State University and Masters of Education Degree from Texas Christian University. Anne taught school in Georgia, Virginia, Maryland and in Texas. Anne had been a longtime member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church in Waco, always very active teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Thomas Edwin Carter of Waco; twin sons, William Lee Carter and wife, Julie of Waco and Warren Leslie Carter and wife, Jennifer of Dallas; daughter, Allyson Carter Mark and husband, Daniel of Houston; sister, Barbara McGahee and husband, Clifford of Atlanta, Georgia; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Columbus Avenue Baptist Church or Wesley Woods Alzheimers Care Center.
