Anne Lucile Hyak Fadal of Waco died Sunday, February 29, 2004 at her residence. Services will be held at 11:30am Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. Scott Brown officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8pm Tuesday, March 2 at the funeral home. Mrs. Fadal was born in Victoria, Texas November 3, 1912. She graduated from Patti Welder High School in Victoria in 1929. She married Sam M. Fadal in 1932. She and her husband owned Fadal Grocery until 1967. She worked at Kestners Department Store until she retired in 1996. She was a former member of the Texas A & M Mothers Club, and Syrian-Lebanese Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam M. Fadal in 1968. Survivors include son, Donald Fadal of Waco; grandchildren, Dee Dee Fadal, Marcena Collier and husband, Gordon, Douglas Fadal and Whit Fadal and wife, Stacey; great grandchildren, Marcena and Molly Waldrop, Bradon, Mason, Dalton and Ryan Collier, Clifton, Ann Katheryn and Wyatt Fadal; brother, Allison Hyak and wife, Vivian of Ava, Missouri and daughter-in-law, Virginia Lee Fadal of Fort Worth. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Fadal, Mitch Fadal, James Brown, David Alkek, Warren Alkek, Don Farek, Keith Towell, and Howard Cohen. Honorary pallbearers are Louis Towell, Alvin Massouh, Bob Mousa, Frank Mousa, Paul Ruhl, and Ernest Khoury. Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
