Anne M. Thompson

Anne M. Thompson passed away Monday, February 7, 2022, in Waco, Texas. Anne was born March 13, 1924, in Bayonne, New Jersey, to John and Julia Stites, the first of three children. She attended St. Henry’s Catholic School and Bayonne High School and worked as a secretary at Baker Caster Oil Company in Bayonne and Langer Transport Company in Jersey City, New Jersey She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert G. Thompson; and her son, Mark F. Thompson. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia A. Nodes; son-in-law, Daniel J. Nodes; grandchildren, Jennifer E. Nodes and Daniel J. Nodes, Jr; and great-grandchildren, Abigail and Emily Nodes. Anne was graceful in all her living. She was an accomplished dress maker and enjoyed poetry and music, especially that of the Great American Songbook. She was introduced to film as a child and became quite a lover of classic movies. She enjoyed a long happy marriage to her husband, Robert, and together with much health and happiness always enjoyed long city walks.
