STACK, ANTHONY S. Anthony S. Stack, age 79, of Waco died Tuesday, October 28, 2003 at his residence. Services with full military honors will be held at 2pm Saturday, November 1 at Waco Memorial Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Msgr. Mark Deering officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North. Visitation with the family will be from 10am-12noon Saturday at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mr. Stack was born October 21, 1924 in Tyrone, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph and Mary Stack. He joined the Marine Corp following high school and served for 27 years with duties during WWII and Korea. He married Margaret Ethel “Margie” Lane November 10, 1961 in Waco. She preceded him in death June 22, 1983. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service retiring in 1983. He was a member of V.F.W. Post #2148, American Legion 121, and Fleet Reserve Association in West. He was a quiet man who didn’t express himself much, but when he spoke you should have listened to his wisdom. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Survivors include daughter, Carole Burnett and husband, Russ of Marietta, Georgia, grandchildren, Doreen Kennedy and husband, Mark of Austin, Keith Burnett and wife, Laura of St. George, Utah, and Dawn Rimer and husband, Jon, great grandchildren, Stephen Kennedy, Ethan Kennedy, Ashley Kennedy, Stefan Burnett, Gage Burnett, Teagan Burnett, Keith Burnett, and Haley Rimer, sisters, Helen Allen of Tyrone, Pennsylvania and Katherine Price of Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania and numerous nieces and nephews.
