Antonia Martinez Reyes October 21, 1924 – August 30, 2007 Antonia Toni, age 82, of Waco passed away peacefully Thursday after a long illness. Rosary and visitation will be 8:00 p.m. Friday, Aug 31 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Louis Catholic Church, Sat, Sept 1 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Albert Laforet officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Toni was born October 21, 1924 in Waco, Texas to Y.B. and Carlota Martinez. She married Richard Reyes November 30, 1947. She attended school in Waco and was a licensed beautician. She had a beautiful smile and a caring and nurturing nature. She was an amazing cook and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Although Alzheimer’s robbed her of her memory, she maintained her sharp sense of humor until the end. She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Mary Hernandez and brother, Nacho Martinez. She is survived by son, Rick Reyes and wife, Pam of Carrollton; daughter, Renee and husband, Mark Olvera of Lorena; son, Johnny and wife, Donna of Robinson; son, Jimmy Reyes of Waco; twelve grandchildren Tina, Greg, Toni, Robyn, Jaime, Kara, Matthew, Joshua, Justin, Britney, Josh twelve great-grandchildren Gabriella, Ana Claudia, Hanna, Jaime Jr, Garret, Jasmine, Colin, Chris., Marissa, Jeremiah, Josiah, Josh Jr. ; sisters, Irene Martinez of Wichita Falls; Alfonsa Jr. Rocha of Universal City, and Anita Rodriguez of Dallas; brothers, Johnny, Joe and Santos Martinez of Waco; Bernie Martinez of Madison, Wisconsin; and many loving brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews. Toni was blessed to be lovingly cared for by her granddaughter-in-law, Rosemary and friend Veronica; Hillcrest Hospice team members Judy, Sue, Connie and Sheshe. Thanks to the Regent Care Center team of Donna, Joanne, Tameka, Victoria, Rebecca, Tamara and Jose for making her last days comfortable. Thank you Dr. Stern for taking such good care of mom all these years. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jaime and Matthew Ramirez, Ted Breckenfeld, Chris Olvera, Marine PFC Justin Reyes, nephew, Michael Rodriguez, nephew, Nacho Martinez, Jr., and godson, Mark Martinez. Honorary pallbearers are Mark Olvera, Joe, Johnny, Bernie and Santos Martinez, grandsons, Greg Ramirez and Marine LCP Joshua Reyes and godsons, Phillip Martinez and Johnny Ruiz.
