Arthur Red Leggott

July 18, 1927 — November 5, 2003

LEGGOTT, ARTHUR RED Arthur Red Leggott, age 76 of Waco died Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at a local hospital. Services will be held at 9:30am Saturday, November 8 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. Charles Dixon officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5-7pm Friday, November 7 at the funeral home. Mr. Leggott was born July 18, 1927 in Waco. He graduated from Waco High and Baylor University. He was a veteran of U.S. Navy. He worked in the family livestock auction business for many years. He was also a rancher and owned Leggott Livestock Supply and Leggott Trailer Sales. He was an active bridge player and tennis player at Sul Ross Senior Center. Mr. Leggott was preceded in death by wife, Carol Leggott and brother, Robert Leggott. Survivors include daughter, Mary Guerga and husband, Phillipe of Paris, France, step-daughters, DeAnn Friedholm of South Africa and Lugene Friedholm of Dallas, sons, Tom Leggott and wife, Susan of Waco and John Leggott and wife, Valerie of Albuquerque, New Mexico, stepsons, David Friedholm of Dallas and Ken Friedholm of Lorena, grandchildren, Katherine, Kristen, Zoey, Kyle, Gabe, Shane, Mikey and Allison, sister, Mary Eleanor Marstaller of Waco, brother, D. T. Leggott and wife, Cecile of Waco and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Richard Dudley, Walt Winters, Andrew Smalley, Clyde McCauley, Jim Vick, Miller Brister, Bert King, and Bill Oliver. Memorials may be made to Sul Ross Senior Center.
