Barbara C Wilson

Barbara Castillo Wilson, 81, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Providence Village. Services will be Thursday, August 11, at 10:00 a.m. at Richfield Christian Church with Rev. Alec Ylitalo officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 10, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Barbara was born February 18, 1941, in Waco, where she grew up. She attended Waco High School and spent her career working at George’s Surf & Sirloin and later at jewelry stores: Kestner’s and Robert Cox Jewelers. She married Bobby S. Wilson in February of 1984. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and dog, Sugar Plum, and cooking. She also enjoyed helping animals in need. She was a member of Richfield Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby S. Wilson; father, Ernest Moreno Castillo; mother, Henrie Frances Kusian; brother, Tony Castillo and stepfather, Dwayne Kusian. She is survived by her son, Rev. David Scott; daughters, Denise Castilleja and husband, Julian, and Donna McCrory; grandson, Nicholas Engelbrecht and wife, Ana; granddaughters, Bianca Castilleja and Savannah; and great-granddaughter, Victoria Engelbrecht.
