Barbara Jean Taylor August 6, 1934 - September 14, 2008 Barbara Jean Taylor of Robinson passed away Sunday, September 14, 2008 at Providence Hospital. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 16, at Meadowbrook Baptist Church with Pastor Cary Killough officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation was held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 15, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Barbara was born August 6, 1934 in Waco to Clyde and Lucille Fortune. She worked at the Baylor University Bookstore and the Sears Service Center. Barbara has been a lifelong Baptist and a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Waco. She was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Lucille Fortune. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, J. Lester Taylor, Sr. of Robinson; sons, Les Taylor and wife, Tonya of Brownwood, Walter Clyde Taylor and wife, Lisa of Austin; daughter, Marcille Lytle and husband, Robert of Kountze, Texas; sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; one aunt and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers and Honorary pallbearers are the Deacons of Meadowbrook Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
