Beatrice Hixson February 23, 1921 - May 26, 2008 Beatrice Hixson of Hewitt passed away Monday, May 26, 2008 after a brief illness. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 30, at Waco Memorial Mausoleum with Bro. James Adams officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 29, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Beatrice was born February 23, 1921 in Clifton, Texas to Jesse and Bonnie Cogburn. She worked and retired at Woods Mfg. She and Clyde Hixson married in 1942 and he preceded her in death in 2001. Beatrice was a member of Bellmead Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and daughter, Judy Mae Hixson Watkins. She is survived by her son, Clyde Dean Hixson of Bellmead; grandsons, Gary Estes of Hewitt; and Travis Bubba Bailey; two great grandchildren, Jonathan and Ashley Bailey; granddaughter, Jennifer Bailey; and one brother, C.M. Cogburn and wife, Mary of Austin. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bellmead Calvary Baptist Church.
