Belvin Royce Gilmer

GILMER, BELVIN Belvin R. Gilmer, 73, of Woodway, died Sunday, August 29, 2004, at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 10am Friday, September 3 at City Cemetery in Gatesville with John Miller Stinnett and Cotton Davidson officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8pm Wednesday, September 1 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey in Waco. Mr. Gilmer was born September 14, 1930 in Wills Point, Texas to John Henry II and Crystal Gilmer. He was a 1948 graduate of Gatesville High School and 1958 graduate of Baylor University. He served in the Air Force from 1950 to 1954. He and Clydene Price were married September 6, 1953, in Waco. He was vice-president and then president of the Rohan Company in Waco until he retired in 1988. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Clydene; sons, Mark and John; daughter-in-law, Loise; grandchildren, Jillian and Jackson; and sisters, Patsy Lloyd and Laura Virginia Bourland.
