Benjamin Ben F. Hester

HESTER, BEN Benjamin “Ben” F. Hester, 87 of Waco, passed away Monday, January 31, 2005 at his residence. Services will be at 2pm Wednesday, February 2 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8pm Tuesday, February 1 at the funeral home. Mr. Hester was born July 24, 1917 to William T. and Jane Emily Hester. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the North Africa campaign. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and three brothers. Survivors include wife of 57 years, Evelyn Hester; daughter, Linda Staas and husband, Steven of Austin; sons, Kenneth Knowles and wife, Valarie of Abba, Texas, Benny Hester and wife, Rita of Sherman Oaks, California, and Michael Hester and wife, Dora of Hewitt; ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren; and brother, Calvin Hester and wife, Louise of Speegleville.
