Cecil W. Benny Hack of Waco, age 89, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2008. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, January 4, at Rosemound Cemetery with Rev. David Story officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Benny was born in Edna, TX on June 11, 1918. He attended schools in Harlingen, TX and married Laura Nell Vencill on August 31, 1944. He served his country in WWII as a soldier in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theatre. He worked for Exxon Corporation for 30 years and retired on June 1, 1976. He was a member of Richfield Christian Church. He was preceded in death his son, Benny Glen Hack in 1965 and by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Laura Hack; son, Lynn Hack and wife, Lanelle of Bedford, TX; daughter, Sharon Moore and husband, Thomas of Waco; granddaughter, Kimberly Hack Stallcup and husband, Richard; grandson, Daniel Lynn Hack; great-granddaughters, Ashleigh, Kayleigh and Carleigh; and great-grandson, Cody Stallcup; several nieces and nephews.
