BERNICE BROWN Bernice Virginia Thompson Brown, 88,went to be with her Lord Sunday, December 8, 2002, at Cartmell Home for the Aged, Palestine, Texas. Services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, December 12, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with William Aman officiating. Burial will follow in Mart Cemetery, Mart, Texas. Mrs. Brown was born November 13, 1914 at Bynum, Texas in Hill County to Mary Jane McIntyre and James Franklin Thompson. She married Herman Edward Brown May 16, 1930 at Waco. They lived for many years in Mart and Waco and later in Palestine, the headquarters for the Missouri Pacific Railroad, for whom Mr. Brown worked and retired. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six sisters and two brothers. Survivors include her son, William Billy Edward Brown and wife Jan, niece, Jo Ann Payne Aman and husband William; nieces, Wanda Thompson Kuehler, Bobbie Thompson Beverung, Margaret Campbell Gant and nephews, Frank Thompson, David McReynolds and Donald Campbell.
