Bernice Watts May 15, 1917 - June 30, 2012 Bernice Watts of Chilton passed away Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Senior Care of Hewitt. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Bro. Morgan Woodard officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2012 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Bernice was born May 15, 1917 in Aquilla, TX to Vincent and Elsie Guthrie. She was cafeteria manager at Mountainview Elementary School for 30 years and a member of Golinda Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Elsie Guthrie; a step-mother, Velma Guthrie; husband, Luther Watts; three brothers, Raymond Guthrie and wife Peggy, Gerald Guthrie and James Guthrie and wife Bobbie; and one sister, Dorothy Guthrie. She is survived by a family she loved dearly, two daughters, Dorothy Gray, Plainview, TX; Marilyn Merchant, Gun Barrel City, TX; two sons, Luther Curtis Watts and wife Betty, and Bobby Watts and wife Dorothy, San Antonio, TX; one brother, Earl Guthrie and wife Jane; two sisters, Frances Smith, DeSoto, TX and Geraldine Witlow and husband J.E., Troy, TX; fourteen grandchidren and numerous great-grandchildren.
