October 23, 1917 — April 14, 2005

House, Bertha Bertha M. House, 87, passed away April 14, 2005 at a local nursing home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, April 18 at 11:30 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Assumption with the Rev. Msgr. Mark Deering officiating. Burial to follow at St. Monica Cemetery in Cameron, Texas. Bertha was born October 23, 1917 in Cameron, Texas to Steve and Frances Morbitzer Mueck. She married Zellner House on May 31, 1945 in Spokane, Washington and to this union a son, David, was born. She joined the Women’s Auxiliary Corps of the U.S. Army in 1943 and obtained the rank of Sergeant. She lived in the Waco area for sixty years. She was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Assumption and of the Women’s Guild. She worked many years in the cafeteria at Robinson school. She was preceded in death by her husband, Zellner House; son, David House; her parents, Steve and Frances Mueck; brothers, Herman, Joe, Albert and Otto Mueck. She is survived by her brothers, Steve Mueck of Grand Prairie, Texas and George Mueck of Sealy, Texas; her sisters, Martha Burkeen, Anna Marie Williams and Matilda Senkel all of San Antonio, Texas.
