BESSIE SIMONS Mrs. Bessie Simons, age 89, of Waco died Friday, November 8, 2002 at a local hospital. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday, November 11 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Bosque Chapel, with Rev. Jason Patrick officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, November 10 at the funeral home. Mrs. Simons was born December 14, 1912 in Hillside, Texas to Hugh M. and Mary Summey Haigood. She was a member of Downsville Baptist Church for many years as well as a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class. Mrs. Simons was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Simons, and one grandson, Gerald D. Loesch. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. James Ruth Loesch of Chalk Bluff; sons, Donald Ray Simons of Robinson and Jimmy Simons of Asa; sisters, Jewel Mae Witt of Ft. Worth, Hallie Gascamp of Waco, Pearl Sykora of Burleson, Ollie Price of Waco and Dollie Brown of Waco; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
