Betty Jabben Lusk March 23, 1924 - March 18, 2010 Betty Jabben Lusk of Waco passed away Thursday, March 18, 2010. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 22, at St. Mark Lutheran Church with the Rev. Jim Price officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Mausoleum. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Sunday, March 21, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Betty was born March 23, 1924, in Jefferson, Kansas, to William and Gesine Jabben. She attended schools in Independence, KS, and she was married to Clarence Lusk on February 18, 1945, until his death in 2005. Betty worked and retired from Word Inc. She was a member of both St. Mark Lutheran in Waco, and Trinity Luthern in Waco for many years. She was a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother and grandmother and was a friend to all people. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence Beryl Lusk; daughter, Mary Jane Miller; and grandson, Jonathan Stringer. She is survived by daughters, Linda Lusk Stuart and husband, Bobby, of Waco; Betty Ann Ferguson and husband, Keith, of McGregor, and grandchildren, Shelley Stringer and Suzannah Robison and husband, Eric; Tripp Miller and Elizabeth Miller; and Allen Ferguson and Lauren Ferguson. Pallbearers will be John Merkh, Paul Gibson, Bob Doty, Emmett Funderburk, Alden Smith and Harry Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Gene Klein, O.E. Blythe, Walter Seeger and Bill King. The family greatly appreciates the love and care given to Betty by Petru and Lucy Lupu. Memorials may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church.
