Bill Arnold February 28, 2918 May 16, 2011 Willard Bill Arnold of Speegleville, Texas passed away on May 16, 2011 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 18, at Columbus Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Durham officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be at 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 17, at Wilkirson-Hatch- Bailey Garden Room. Bill Arnold was the son of the late Walter and Mildred Arnold of South China, Maine. He was born February 28, 1928. He graduated from Erskine Academy in 1945 and joined the Navy. After his discharge from the Navy, he enrolled at Coyne Electrical School in Boston. In 1951, Bill became an electrician for the Scott Paper Co. in Winslow, Maine. In 1956, he came to Waco to work for General Tire and Rubber Co. until he retired in 1986. He was a past Senior Counselor of the United Commercial Travelers and an active member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church. For over 20 years he has been a member of the Young at Heart and Sul Ross Senior Dance Clubs. Bill married Judy Allen of Mason, Texas, in 1964. She is the daughter of the late Terrell and Velma Allen. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert Arnold of Cleveland, Ohio and Perry Arnold of West Springfield, MA; and two sisters, Helen Pendleton of Saint Petersburg, Florida and Arleen Morais of Augusta, Maine. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Judy; and many, many dear friends. Pallbearers are Dr. Charles Huffman, Jerry Gerhardt, Raymond Weldon, Bill Dyess, Jeff Davis, George Woolridge, Harvey Philippi and John Peitsmeyer. Honorary pallbearers are Leroy Campbell, Waylon Ferguson, Willie Carter and Steve Dietz. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Central Texas Affiliate, P.O.
