DYER, BILL Bill Dyer, 88 of Waco, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2005 in Waco. Services will be at 2:30pm Sunday, Jan. 23 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Brother Fred Sain officiating. Interment will follow at Prairie Hill Cemetery in Prairie Hill, Texas. Visitation with the family will be from 4-6pm Saturday, January 22 at the funeral home. Mr. Dyer was born October 29, 1916 in Prairie Hill, Texas. He married Geraldine Sanders November 9, 1937. He was in the Navy during World War II, serving on LST270 in the Pacific. He retired in 1982 after working 17 years at the Mexia State School. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Geraldine, daughter Rita Joy Adams and husband, Ralph of Waco; grandchildren, Karen Miller and husband, Calvin of Carrollton, Darrell Adams and wife, Pamela of Keller, and Elaine Powell and husband, Doug of Birmingham; and six great grandchildren.
