Billie Jean Threadgill

January 18, 1931 — April 21, 2022

Billie Jean Kirk Threadgill went in peace to be with the Lord Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Poet’s Walk in Cedar Park, Texas. A graveside memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Waco Memorial Park. Billie was born on January 18, 1931, in Valley Mills, Texas, to Thelma Marshall Kirk and Clyde B. Kirk. Billie grew up in Waco and went to Waco schools. She married Henry Ronald Threadgill on her birthday, January 18, 1947. They were married for sixty-nine years. Ronald passed away in 2016. Billie was the mother of three daughters Linda, Pam, and Cindy. Through the years she stayed at home with her children and worked part-time at Sears and Roebuck. She got her GED later in life and went to work as a reading assistant in Waco schools. Billie loved to read and she loved teaching young children to read. Her family always referred to her as a social butterfly. She won Ms. Ridgecrest in 2014. Billie’s greatest roles in life were wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She also loved being an aunt to so many nieces and nephews from both sides of the family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren loved spending time with their NaNa and PaPa. Her greatest pleasure in the last few years of her life was her family, especially the little ones. Billie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ronald, her sister, Neutrine Fowler, brother, C.B. Kirk, and sister, Bobbie Mangum. She leaves behind daughter, Linda and her husband, Patrick Clynch; daughter, Pam and her husband, Barry Thomason; and daughter, Cindy and her husband, Tommy Scott; grandchildren, Carrie and husband, Aaron Newman; Rebecca and husband, Brannon Muska; Daniel and wife, Corrie Long; Lindsey and husband, Chad Walker; Brett and wife, Maria Scott; and Jennifer Thomason; great grandchildren, Brooke and Megan McNeil, Alex Newman, Gibson, Ainsley, Bennett and Knox Walker, Claire, Cathryn, Sophia, and Sierra Muska, Cannon and Ryker Long, Ian and Lyla Rose Scott. Memorials may be made to the ALS Association of Texas at alstexas.org or to Friends for Life, 5000 Lakewood Drive, Waco, Tx 76710.
