Billie Joyce Harrison

Billie J. Harrison February 21, 1927 - February 21, 2008 Billie Joyce Harrison of West Columbia passed away Thursday, February 21, 2008. As requested, the family will observe a private graveside service at a small country cemetery near Ross, Texas where several generations of the family are buried. No local service will be held. Arrangements are by Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home in Waco, Texas. Billie J. was born in Waco, Texas on February 21, 1927, the only child of Esta and E.T. Billington. After graduating from Waco High School, she attended Baylor University, and in 1945 married James W. Harrison of Dallas. They moved to the Texas Gulf Coast in 1957 where her husband worked for Dow Chemical Company. They retired to Columbia Lakes in 1984. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son. She is survived by her devoted husband, J.W., daughter, Linda, sons, Jim and Dan. She also leaves five grandchildren and four great-grand children.
