Billy Eugene Bordovsky of Elk passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2007. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 30, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Elk with the Msgr. Isidore Rozycki officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, November 29, with visitation to follow at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Billy was born June 10, 1928, in Hallsburg, Texas, to Adolph and Annie Bordovsky. He attended school in Hallsburg and Riesel. On October 28, 1950, he married Rosalie Pechacek and moved to the Elk community. He worked at TXU for 31 years. Upon his retirement, he continued to pursue his interests in farming, gardening, and woodworking. He was an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Elk. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Betty Swaner; and grandson, Kevin Kasik. He is survived by his wife, Rosalie Bordovsky; sons, Charles Bordovsky of Elk; Jim Bordovsky and wife, Dale, of Plainview; Harold Bordovsky of Garland; and Wendel Bordovsky and wife, Khaki, of Elk; daughters, Joan Kasik and husband, John, of Bellmead; and Lisa McLesky and husband, Rusty , of Burnet. He is also survived by a brother, Theodore Bordovsky of Elk; and sisters, Olene Bonds and husband, Jake, of Waco; Marguerite Brinkley of San Antonio; and Dorothy Jurecka of Waco. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
