Billy Frank Erskine

ERSKINE, BILLY FRANK Billy Frank Erskine, 72, died Tuesday, September 3, 2002. Graveside services will be held at 9:30am Thursday, September 5 at Waco Memorial Park with Rev. Drew Wilson and Rev. David Shuttlesworth officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 6-7:30pm Wednesday, September 4 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mr. Erskine was born on September 28, 1929, in Marlin to William Morris and Susan Gertrude Simmons Erskine. Shortly thereafter, the family moved to Waco, where Billy grew up and graduated from high school. He was a member of the National Guard and worked for 27 years at Webb Air Force Base in Big Spring, Texas as a warehouseman. Billy was a member of Park Lake Drive Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father on November 3, 1985, and his mother, on August 27, 1993. Survivors include his aunt, Josephine Moncrief Dillard; uncle, Ira Lee Dillard; and cousin, Susan Leigh Dillard, all of Houston. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to Senior Ministries/Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 85, Waco, TX, 76703, and Park Lake Drive Baptist Church, 3701 N. 27th St., Waco, TX, 76708. The family would like to thank the wonderful church family at Park Lake Drive Baptist Church, the nursing staffs at Hillcrest Community Hospice and Crestview Healthcare Residence as well as the special people at Meals-on-Wheels for the kindness shown Billy and his family.
