Billy G. White October 18, 1924 - April 2, 2011 Billy G. White, of Waco, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 5, at Oakwood Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Durham officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 4, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Billy was born October 18, 1924, in Bynum, Texas, to Lauren and Athalea McMurry White. He was active in the Buick dealerships in Waco for over 30 years. Billy has been a lifelong Baptist and an active member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church in Waco. He was a caring son, father, grandfather, and a friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, Andrew Varnell. He is survived by his loving wife, Bernice Darden White; daughter Jerre Varnell and husband, Maurice, of Florence, TX; grandchildren, Amy Hanson and husband, Travis, of Georgetown, TX, John Varnell and wife, Carrie, of The Woodlands, TX and Lauren Williams and husband, Aaron, of Georgetown; great-grandchildren, Hailey Hanson, Daniel Varnell, and Aaron Williams III; sisters, Nina Blankenship of Ft. Worth, and Sue Dossey of Arlington; and sister-in-law, Jerre Morse of Waco. Honorary pallbearers are the Frank Wilson Men's Sunday School Class of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church.
