Billy James Magee November 8, 1929 – June 25, 2007 Billy James Magee passed away June 25, 2007 after a lengthy illness. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 28 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. R.L. Whitworth officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 27 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Billy was born November 8, 1929 in Axtell to Minnie and Arthur Magee and baptized at the age of 16. He served in the U. S. Army from 1950-1952 in Nuremberg, Germany. Mr. Magee worked in the automotive repair industry in Waco for over 40 years and was co-owner of Magee Automotive on Town Oaks Drive. He retired in 2001. Billy was predeceased in death by his parents and brother, D. M. Magee. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Alice Magee; son, Larry Magee and wife, Janet of Barrington, Illinois; grandchildren, Courtney, Kristin, Cameron and Kelly; sisters, Elda McKenzie, Zelda Garner and Corinne Necker, all of Lorena. Pallbearers are Cameron Magee, William Lovins, Bob Maxwell, Matthew Garner, Larry Collins and Glenn Shockey. Honorary pallbearers are Bob McKenzie, Samuel Triplett and Mickey Magee. Memorials may be made to Vista Care Hospice Foundation, 1512 Lake Air Dr., # 120, Waco, TX 76710.
