February 20, 1939 — July 31, 2002

LIVELY, BOB Bob Lively passed away of natural causes on July 31, 2002. He was on vacation with his family at Moon Lake resort in Utah when he was called. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2002 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd., with Rev. Doak Taylor and Rev. Doug Taylor officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Restland Cemetery in Gatesville. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, August 4 at the funeral home. Bob, a long time Woodway resident, worked for Transit Mix in Waco. He was a graduate of Gatesville High School and Rice University, where he excelled in both baseball and football. Bob enjoyed all sports and was active in golf, bowling and fishing with his friends and family. He was a big booster of Midway ISD and of Baylor University. Bob was born in Brady, Texas to Carey and Evelyn Lively on February 20, 1939. He married his high school sweetheart, Alyce Ann, who recently retired from the Midway ISD after 32 years. Survivors include his wife Alyce; son Mike and wife Robin of Utah; grandsons Cole and Cal of Utah; brother Carey and Doris of Maryland; nephew William of Texas and niece Catherine of New York. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Brown, Larry Rushing, Craig Rushing, Boyd Harris Latham, Bennie Lee Latham, Barry Gober, Don Taylor and Charlie Vestal. Bob, a devoted husband, beloved father and proud grandpop, will truly be missed. Memorials may be made to the Midway Foundation.
