Bobbie McKethan January 6, 1930 September 10, 2015 Surrounded by her adoring family, Bobbie McKethan went peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior in the early hours of Thursday September 10, 2015. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 14, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey with burial to follow at Waco Memorial Park and with Pastors John Dirk and Rebecca Hull officiating. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 6:00 p.m., Sunday, September 13, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Bobbie Jean Hunt McKethan, daughter of Burl Lee and Nannie Jane Hunt, was born on January 6, 1930, in Waco Texas. Following her father's death, Richard H Dick Ledbetter became her step-father. Bobbie graduated from Waco High School where she was outstanding in vocal performance. On January 8, 1948, she married the love of her life, Wayne Wright McKethan. They celebrated 53 years of marriage before his passing in 2001. Bobbie had many joys in her life, but her greatest joy of all was her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren called her "B". There was never a shortage of hugs, kisses, and chocolate at B's house. Her smile and laughter were contagious. Everyone that met her became enchanted with her sweet spirit. Wayne and Bobbie were charter members of the First Baptist Church of Woodway. In recent years, Bobbie enjoyed fellowship at the Woodway First United Methodist Church. Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a host of brothers, step-brothers and sisters-in-law. Bobbie is survived by her five children, Wayne McKethan and wife, Betty, of Granbury, Kenneth McKethan and wife, Cathy, of Waco, Mark McKethan and wife, Donna, of Waco, Jim McKethan and wife, Pam, of Waco, and Teresa McKethan Barnett and husband, Donald, of China Spring; 11 grandchildren, Mike McKethan and wife, Shayla, of Liberty Hill, Matt McKethan and wife, Stefanie, of Fort Worth, Josh McKethan and wife, Tara, of Crosby, Cristen Tamez and husband, Pete, of Rosebud, Alicia Engelholm of Waco, Sherri Ray and husband, Tommy, of Hewitt, Stephen McKethan and wife, Stephanie, of Stephenville, Amanda McKethan of Waco, Alicia Danforth and husband, AJ, of San Antonio, Hunter Barnett of China Spring and Bryce Barnett of China Spring; and thirteen great grandchildren, family, and friends.
