Bobbie Powers Mills

Bobbie Jean Mills passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022. Graveside service will be 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, at Waco Memorial Park with Dr. Randy Hughes officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 28, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Bobbie was born January 8, 1929, in Electra, Texas, to Jesse Lee and Rose Lee Powers. She attended Mart schools. She married Billy Earl Mills in 1948 and they were happily married for 67 years. She worked in retail most of her life and retired from H-E-B. She was a long-term member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, where she served as Sunday School secretary. She was a devoted and selfless mother and grandmother. She was best known for her chocolate pies and banana pudding. Her happiest days were cooking for a house full of family and serving her Lord Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Billy Jack Mills; and brothers, Victor and Marvin Powers. She is survived by sons, Barry Koehne and wife, Robin, Doug Mills and wife, Valeria, and Keith Mills and wife, Robyn; daughter-in-law, Janice Mills; grandchildren, Larry Philbrick, Justin Mills and wife, Leslie, Amber Sheehan and husband, Robert, Keri Dietz and husband, Phil, Jodi Browning and husband, Bill, C.D. Mills, Colt Mills and wife, Natalie, Megan Price and husband, Mark, and Austin Mills; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers are her grandsons.
