SPEARS, BOBBIE RUTH ETCHISON Bobbie Ruth Etchison Spears, age 84, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2004. Graveside services will be at 2pm Wednesday, April 14 at Waco Memorial North with Pastor Daniel Brandt officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 5-7pm Tuesday, April 13 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Spears was born December 9, 1919 in Waco to the late Rene Etchison and Lillian Canant Etchison, the second of two daughters. She attended Waco High School and 4-C Business College. After graduation she worked as secretary for the McLennan County Health Nurse. She married William T. Spears in 1943. Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and sister, Frances Huston. She is survived by her son, Ron Spears and wife, Bettye of Woodway; grandchildren, Chris Spears and wife, Missy of Hewitt and Dawn Alvarado and husband, Jim of Hewitt; and great-grandson, Blaine Spears. The family expresses thanks to Dr. Pat Pryor, Dr. Darrell Pietsch, the staffs of Alterra Sterling House, Providence Hospital, St. Catherine Center, and Royal Manor Nursing Home for their care during the last few years.
