Bobby Brooks May 18, 1937 - December 2, 2010 Bobby Aaron Brooks of Waco passed away Thursday, December 2, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 6, at Hart Cemetery in Breckenridge, TX, with Rev. Brooks Monk, nephew of Bobby Brooks, officiating. Visitation will be 3:00 – 5:00 p.m., Sunday, December 5, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Bobby was born May 18, 1937 in Ranger, Texas to Johnnie and Molly Brooks. He graduated from Sul Ross University in Alpine and received his Masters of Music Education from Vandercook College of Music in Chicago, IL. Bobby was band director in Monday, Clyde, Bonham, Azle and Connally Schools. In 1980 he started with Horace Mann Insurance, and retired as Sales Executive. During his retirement he traveled extensively throughout the U.S. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and one sister. He is survived by his son, Christopher Brooks and two grandsons, Cameron and Beau Brooks, all of McKinney, TX; Rita Brooks, mother of Chris, of Waco; his sister, Fran Monk of Euless, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
