Bobby Stroud passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022, at his home in Waco. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., May 19, at Waco Memorial Park. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Hewitt. Visitation will be May 18, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Bobby was born in Jackson, Tennessee, on November 12, 1936. He met the love of his life at North Junior High School in Waco and later married on April 29, 1955. Bobby served in the United States Army from 1962 to 1965. Bobby was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He worked for Yellow Freight as a Truck Driver for more than 30 years before retiring. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Gladys Stroud; brother, Atlas Stroud; and sister, Pauline Stroud. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Viva Ann Stroud; son, Darrin Stroud; daughters, Desera Roberts and Elita Arriaga; grandchildren, Brandin Roberts, Joshua Stroud and wife, Kaitlin, Alaina High, and Amity Arriaga; and great-grandchildren, James and Reagan Stroud.
