Bonnie Hansen October 31, 1926 - June 30, 2013 Bonnie Hansen of Waco passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013. Services will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday, July 5, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Mitch Parrish officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m., one hour prior to the chapel service. Bonnie was born October 31, 1926, in Merkel, Texas to Joe and Elma Jaynes. She was Salutatorian of her high School class, and attended Kendrick School of Nursing. Her first job as a registered nurse was in the Valley of Texas at Edinburg, working with polio victims. Bonnie moved to Waco to serve Hillcrest Hospital in surgery and the emergency room. Later she worked for Dr. Marstaller and eventually retired as an RN at Providence. Bonnie was a member of Western Heights Baptist Church in Waco for 52 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Ernest Fredrick Hansen; her brother J.E. Jaynes and her sister, Nollie Hass. She is survived by her sons, Alan Hansen and wife, Blinda and William Hansen and wife, Bettie; and daughter, Jane Colbert and husband, Ron; grandson, Shelby Hansen and wife, Taylor; great granddaughter, Emma Hansen; and brother, Bill Jaynes of Clyde, Texas.
