BRADLEY BILLINGTON Bradley Adams Billington, age 46, was born in Dallas, Texas on May 26, 1956 and was adopted on November 12, 1956 by William A. Billington, Jr. and Pat Brandenburg Billington of Waco, Texas. Ten months later, Barry Loyd Billington was born. Brad was baptized at Central Presbyterian Church, attended Waco Public Schools, where he was the first diagnosed Dyslexic, participated in peewee football, Boy Scouts, horse show activities he always wore boots, jeans, cowboy shirt and hat and worked with his dad at his construction company. Barry was killed in 1982 when his car was crashed into, and his dad died in 1995. All five grandparents also preceded Brad in death. In August, 1999 Brad was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy, and it is from complications of this wicked disease that he died. He was in Tucson when he experienced pulmonary failure, but he constantly wrote “home now”, he was flown back to Waco on December 4, being in ICU at hospitals in Tucson, Waco and Austin. On February 14 he came to his Waco home where he died on February 15, 2003. Brad is survived by his mother, Pat Brandenburg of Tucson, Arizona; his step mother, Camile Renner Billington; two step brothers, Kenneth and Mark Renner of Waco; uncle and aunt, Clyde and Charlene Billington of Clifton; cousins, Reed Morgan of Austin, Cliff Billington and Jan Morgan Sandlin of Dallas and Alicia Morgan Killian of Missouri City. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 18 at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Rebecca Whitaker and Reverends George and Trish Holland officiating. A reception will follow at Central Presbyterian Church Parlor, 12th and Washington Ave. In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that a donation be made to the Muscular Dystrophy National Headquarters, 3300 E. Sunrise Drive, Tucson, AZ 85718.
