Brenda Kay Carpenter, 67, passed away April 2, 2024, at Providence Hospice Place in Waco, Texas.


A memorial service to honor her life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 15, 2024, in the chapel at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home in Waco, Texas.


Brenda was born October 2, 1956, in Angleton, Texas, to Hershall and Ella Corbitt, and she spent her formative years in Conroe, Texas. Brenda and her husband, Richard Carpenter, were married January 29, 1977. Brenda's passions included cheering for the Texas Rangers and Houston Oilers, and cherishing moments with her family, especially her adored grandchildren. Brenda served as a secretary for the Masonic Grand Lodge of Texas, leaving an indelible mark with dedication and efficiency. Brenda will be dearly missed by many loving family members and friends.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Hershall and Ella Corbitt; and her aunt and uncle, Tom and Lillie Cordes.


Brenda is survived by her loving husband, Richard Carpenter; her sons, Richard Carpenter, Jr., Brian Carpenter with wife, Valeria, and Cody Carpenter with wife Miranda; her grandchildren, Jayden and Brooklyn, Taylor and Evan, Brenna, Ella, Camryn, Brinleigh, Jaxon, Colt and Cash; she is also survived by her siblings, James Corbitt, Patsy Neeley and Mary Travers; as well as many nieces and nephews.


The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Providence Hospice Place and its compassionate staff for their exceptional care and support during Brenda's time of need.
