Brenda Lee "McCoy" Brown February 16, 1938 May 16, 2008 Brenda Lee "McCoy" Brown, 70, of Waco, TX, passed away peacefully Friday, May 16, 2008, at the Providence Hospice Care Center, with her loving husband, George Brown, by her side. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 21, in the Garden Room at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey with James B. Jabo Rubin of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, officiating. Visitation with the family will follow the service in the Garden Room. Brenda was born February 16, 1938, to Elizabeth Hamilton McCoy and Alton Winslow McCoy, in Bishop, TX. She graduated from Bishop High School in 1956, and married George R. Brown in Waco, TX on July 26, 1980. Brenda was a guiding light and a true inspiration to those of whom she touched throughout life, who enjoyed her flower gardens, crafts and caring for her family, who is now an angel in heaven and will be deeply missed. Preceding her in death was her first husband, James N. Killgore; grandparents, Effie and Andy Hamilton, and Mr. and Mrs. Edgar McCoy; her father, Alton Winslow McCoy; her two brothers, John Edgar McCoy and Alton Winslow, "A.W." McCoy, Jr.; children Beverly L. Brown and Michael G. Brown. Survivors include her husband, George R. Brown; mother, Elizabeth H. McCoy; sister, Linda Beth Reierson and husband, Al, of Thompsonville, MI; her son, James N. Killgore, Jr., and his wife Mary Terry, of San Angelo, TX; son Bradley D. Brown and his wife, Tonja, of Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Valerie L. Brown, of Sacramento, CA; niece, Dana Stancliff, of Thompsonville, MI, along with 13 grandchildren and many aunts and cousins. Special thanks go out to family, friends, Providence Hospice Care, St. Catherine's Center and medical staff for helping Brenda and her husband, George through this very difficult time.
