Brenda Mcnabb

September 8, 1946 — November 21, 2019

Brenda Jane McNabb was born in Houston, Texas, on September 8, 1946, and passed peacefully in her sleep on November 21, 2019, in Woodway, Texas. Graveside Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 2, at Oakwood Cemetery, 2124 S. 5th Street in Waco. Beginning Friday, November 29, family and friends may come by at any time to view. Brenda was a graduate of Aldine High School Class of 1964 and The University of Houston. She had a successful career as an agent and manager at Farmers Insurance. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Waco and was also a member of Advent Presbyterian Church in Houston, where she served as an Elder and Day School director. She was a fighter and always taught us to never give up, but her battle against the effects of a stroke and a brain tumor were too much. As she ascended into Heaven, no doubt she found someone to talk to and has not quit talking since. She had a personality larger than life, never met a stranger and loved to talk about family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Verna Burney; and daughter, Lisa McNabb. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Jim McNabb of Woodway; sons, Brent and wife, Lori Birdsong, of The Woodlands, Texas, and Chad Birdsong of Frisco, Texas; daughter, Leslie and husband, James Peak, of Woodway; grandchildren, Alan Birdsong, Emily Birdsong, Peyton Birdsong, Paige Birdsong, Jimmy Duke, Evelyn Duke, Sarah Duke and Erik Peak. The family would like to thank Providence Hospice for their loving care. The family invites you to leave a message or memory on our “Tribute Wall” at www.WHBfamily.com.
