Brenda Shafer

Brenda Shafer, 29, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022, at her home. Funeral services will take place Monday, March 28, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Moore Cemetery in Chalk Bluff. Visitation will be Sunday, March 27, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Brenda was born on September 20, 1992, in Waco, Texas. She graduated from Connally High School in 2011. She was a wonderful mother, wife, sister, daughter, and friend. She leaves behind her husband, Michael Shafer; son, Reese Shafer; mother, Lidia Panici; father, Jiva Panici; sister, Tamara Panici; and two brothers, Stevan Panici and Brendan Panici; along with countless others. Brenda was a stay-at-home mother and a strong Christian woman with an unwavering faith in God’s word, which she held in her heart even in the face of immense hardship. She was funny, beautiful, and brilliant, a skilled cook and crafter, and always nurturing to others. We know Brenda is making the best pies in heaven. Though she will be dearly missed, she leaves here with us her amazing love. We will always honor and cherish it.
