Obituary for Bulah Viola Parsons September 2, 1911 October 22, 2009 Mrs. John "Vi" Parsons, of Waco, passed away October 22, 2009, at the age 98. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Monday October 26 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Pastor Ivan Ker and Mrs. Parson's nephew, Leroy Lewis, officiating. Burial will be at Bosqueville Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday October 25 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Mrs. Parsons was born to Paul and Minnie Ferrell in 1911. She was raised in Marlin and Otto, Texas. In 1932 she married John Parsons and they lived most of their married in Waco and Bosqueville. They were married 54 years. Mrs. Parsons retired from Bosqueville I.S.D. in 1971 as a cafeteria manager. Mrs. Parsons was a devout Christian and an active member of Faith Tabernacle, later known as Victory Temple. Her love of God always came first. She was a proud member of the U.S.S. Lexington CV-16 Widow's Association and attended reunions across the United States for many years. She cherished the many friends she made over the years. She will be greatly missed by her children whom she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; her son, Eddie Parsons; and her great grandson, Arin Parsons. Mrs. Parsons is survived by her children, Chuck Parsons and wife, Sharon, of Bosqueville, Bob Parsons and wife, Connie, of Waco, Judy Parsons-Sickles and husband, Bob, of Grand Prairie, and John Paul Parsons of Pagosa Springs, CO; 19 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
