C. C. Sirkel, Sr.

SIRKEL, SR., C.C. C.C. Sirkel, Sr. 87, of Waco, died Thursday, March 29, 2001 at his residence. Services will be 1:30 PM Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 1124 Washington with Rev. Marion Ford officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:30 PM Tuesday at Killeen Cemetery in Killeen. Visitation with the family will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, April 2, 2001 at the funeral home. Mr. Sirkel, also affectionately known as Paw Paw, was born in Killeen, TX December 18, 1913. He graduated from Killeen High School. He married Aileen Everett December 25, 1936 in El Dorado, TX, where he farmed before coming to Waco in 1947. He drove the Interurban for three years and then drove for Texas Electric Bus Lines, retiring in 1976. After retiring, he worked at Waco Printing Co. and had his second retirement in 1999. He was a member of Oak Lawn Baptist Church. His wife Aileen, daughter, Clara Jane, son, Everett Lee and two brothers Alfred Lee Sirkel, Jr. and L.A. Sirkel, preceded him in death. Survivors include: A son: C.C. Sirkel, Jr. and his wife, Linda of Lorena Grandchildren: Stacy Sirkel of Gainesville, Alicia Uptmor of Waco, Charles Sirkel of Axtell, and Jason Sirkel of San Diego, CA Sisters: Dorothy DuPree of Dallas, Margaret Schultz of Levelland, Clara Spencer of Waco, and Ella Pursche of Moody Brothers: J.C. Sirkel of Tennessee and Bill Sirkel of South Carolina Pallbearers will be Ken Crawford, Clyde Busby, Charles Lunday, Art DeRosier, George Stanford, and Ron Holub.
