Callie Elizabeth Hanks December 16, 1916 - March 13, 2007 Callie Elizabeth Hanks, 90, of Waco went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 13, 2007. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 15, at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Mrs. Hanks was born on December 16, 1916 in Waco to John Mike Bettinger and Fay Fields Bettinger. She and Edwin Earl Hanks were married on June 3, 1939 and were blessed with two sons. Callie retired from Central Freight Lines in 1983 after 31 years of service. She loved the Lord, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Waco. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her two sons, Leslie Hanks and wife, Kay of Waco; and Donald Hanks of Waco; one sister, Louise Bettinger; four grandchildren, Les Hanks, Jr., Lisa Clevenger, Deana Bauerle and Donald Reed Hanks; six great-grandchildren, Mary and Josh Hanks; Stephani, Sylvia and Cameron Clevenger; and Hannah Bauerle; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
