Carol Garrett

GARRETT, CAROL Carol Garrett, 68 of Waco, died Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at a local nursing home. Services will be held at 11:30am Saturday, December 4 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Friday, December 3 at the funeral home. Mrs. Garrett was born July 3, 1936 in May, Oklahoma to Ed and Lola Faye Stanley. She moved to Texas at an early age and was raised in Waco. She married Cecil Donald Garrett, also of Waco September 7, 1953. She traveled with her husband during the service then finally settled back in Waco. After her husband’s death she moved to San Angelo to be near her family then returned to Waco to be near her grandchildren. She was a bookkeeper for Merry Maids for five years. She was very involved with her family and attended every event her children were involved in. She absolutely adored her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Donald Edwin Garrett and a daughter, Susan Garrett. Survivors include daughters, Lea Anne Campbell of Waco and Donna Garrett Heitman of Lakeview, California; son-in-law, Jamie Spraggins; grandchildren, Garry, Drew and Brooke Leonberger; step grandchildren, Jamie Lynn, Robert and Michael Spraggins; sisters, Edwina Collins of Austin and Marilyn Sue Lewis of Battlefield, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
