Carol Traylor, 81, passed away on February 10, 2025, at Wesley Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, with Roy Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening in the Chapel at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home.

Carol was born September 6, 1943, in Jacksonville, Texas, to Tom and Beth McKeown. She grew up in Jacksonville and married her high school sweetheart, Jimmy Traylor, on August 25, 1961. They lived in Nacogdoches, Longview, and Waco for short periods of time before settling in Hewitt, where they lived for many years. Carol worked as a medical transcriptionist for several years and then for Word, Inc. for over 25 years, holding many positions. In her final role at Word, Inc., she sold books to Christian stores across the country, where she earned many top sales awards. She then owned and operated an Allstate Insurance Agency for 8 years until her retirement. She was a member of Hewitt First Baptist Church, where she volunteered for Meals on Wheels. She also volunteered to work at the polls on several election days and walked many miles for exercise around her neighborhood. She enjoyed attending her grandkids' many sporting events and celebrating all their accomplishments.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Beth McKeown; her husband, Jimmy Traylor; her sister, Charlene Lazarine, and husband, Marshall; her sister-in-law, Ann Kimbrell, and husband, Vernon; her sister-in-law, Kay Moore; and her brothers-in-law, Roy Traylor, Bobby Traylor, and Billy Traylor.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Laura Erdman and husband Kevin of Flower Mound, TX; her son, Bradley Traylor and wife Jennifer of Ross, TX; grandchildren Dr. Emily Erdman of Fort Worth, TX; Ian Erdman of Watertown, NY; Reagan Traylor of San Marcos, TX; Juliet and Zac Traylor of Robinson, TX; Zane Cooper and wife Mary Kate of Troy, TX; and Reid Cooper of Stephenville, TX.

The pallbearers will be: Ian Erdman, Zac Traylor, Timothy Traylor, Terry Traylor, Larry Kimbrell, Josh Moore, Mark Lazarine, Joel Lazarine and Bruce Lazarine
