Carole was born January 20, 1949 to Jennings and Billie Porter in Milan, Tennessee, where she lived until the age of eight before moving to Waco. She met Lloyd Hall in the fall of 1965 and they began "going steady" and later married on April 9, 1971. She graduated from Waco High in 1967 and from Baylor University in 1972. Carole worked at Citizens National Bank and then at Baylor University. She was a member of Crestview Church of Christ in Waco, where she made many lifelong friends. She was actively involved with VBS, mission trip training, her 2-year old Sunday school class, as well as various other ministries. She enjoyed reading, cross-stitching, working jig-saw puzzles and playing cards. She had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh, and spend time with family and friends to whom she was totally devoted. The holiday seasons and decorating for Christmas were some of her favorite times. Carole loved all things Baylor and enjoyed traveling back to her birth state of Tennessee.
