WASHINGTON, CAROLINE CHAMBLESS Caroline Chambless Washington, age 78, of Waco passed away Thursday, November 7, 2002 in Austin. Services will be held at 2pm Sunday, November 10 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 1124 Washington Ave. with Rev. Dan White officiating. Burial will follow at Bosqueville Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 7-8:30pm Saturday, November 9 at the funeral home. Mrs. Washington was born in Waco June 7, 1924. She moved back to Austin nearly two years ago after residing in Waco for 23 years. While living in Waco, she was an active member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church, PEO, Lawyers’ Wives, Hamilton House, and the Waco Symphony League. When she moved to the Summit at Northwest Hills in Austin last year, she attended Gateway Community Church. The family is grateful to the staff at the Summit for the loving attention they gave to their mother/grandmother. Survivors include daughters, Kay Moore and husband, David of Austin and Judy Salmon and husband, Jon of Palo Alto, California; grandchildren, David Moore of Fort Worth and Katie Moore of Manchester, Connecticut, Jeremy Salmon and wife, Lisa of Nashville, Tennessee, and Jimmy Salmon and Jenny Salmon both of Austin, sister, Nita Lutes and husband, George of LaCanada, California and brother, Beauford Chambless of Temple.
