SLOVER, EUDINE Carolyn “Eudine” Crowder Slover, age 67, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at Baylor Medical Center in Irving, TX. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, July 15, 2005 at 11:30 a.m. in the Columbus Avenue Baptist Church Sanctuary, 1300 Columbus Ave. Waco, TX. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00p.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2005 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Waco, TX. Eudine was born March 5, 1938 in Tipton County, TN. It was there in high school that she met her husband of 45 years, Dr. James David Slover, retired Ministry Guidance Professor at Baylor University. Eudine attended Baylor University and graduated from Texas Women’s University with a degree in education. Through the years she taught second grade throughout Texas in Fort Worth, Pasadena, Deer Park and in the Midway I.S.D. Eudine was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and teacher. She loved cooking and caring for her home and was of great support to her husband for the years he was a pastor. She ministered in the role as a pastor’s wife well. She loved her family dearly and frequently showed expressions of kindness to those around her. Eudine and her family moved to Waco in 1986 and lived in the area until 2004 when she and her husband moved to be closer to her son and family. For the past two and a half years Eudine has bravely fought a rare muscle disease and the complications associated with it. She fought the good fight well to the end. She is preceded in death by parents Raymond and Beatrice Crowder. Eudine is survived by her husband Dr. David Slover, her only child David Michael Slover, daughter-in-law Carol Glass Slover, grandson Seth David Slover, and granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth Slover, all of Coppell, TX. She is survived by her twin sister Maxine Arnold of Germantown, TN; sisters, Shirley Hopkins and Mary Ann Clyatt of Covington, TN; brother Raymond Crowder, Jr. of Atoka, TN as well as her nieces and nephew.
