Carolyn Ann Stafford-Wiley

Carolyn Ann Stafford-Wiley, 82, passed away peacefully at her home in Waco, Thursday, November 7, 2024. 

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Concord Baptist Church in Waco, with Pastor Lester Adams officiating. A visitation for family and friends will take place at the church, prior to the service, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. 

Born on June 7, 1942, to Margaret Evelyn Parten and Lewis Albert Stafford, Carolyn enjoyed her childhood in Prairie Hill, where she developed a deep love for her family and community. A long-time, devoted member of Concord Baptist Church, she lived a life of faith, kindness, and service. 

Carolyn dedicated many years of her life as a secretary in the banking industry, but it was her nurturing spirit and love of family that truly defined her. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was sewing, baking, cooking, cross-stitching, or watching birds in her yard. But above all, her greatest pride and joy was her family—her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. She adored her grandchildren, William, Crystal, and great-grandchildren, Ava, and Zoey, her love for them knew no bounds. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Evelyn Parten and Lewis Albert Stafford; and her sister, Barbara Stafford Hendrick. 

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Wiley; son, Scott Wiley and his wife, Cindy, of Nashville, TN; son, Steven Wiley and his wife, Donna, of Waco, TX; grandchildren, William Carter and Crystal Wiley, of Waco, TX; great-grandchildren, Ava Carter and Zoey Carter, of Mexia, TX; and her brothers, Jimmy Stafford and his wife, Mary Beth, of Athens, TX, and Danny Stafford and his wife, Ruby, of Mart, TX.
